Product Description
Used during aluminum alloy melting to prevent oxidation and oxygen absorption on the melt surface. Aluminum alloy easily absorbs hydrogen and oxidizes during melting. Sprinkling the covering agent forms a dense protective layer to maintain the purity of the molten metal. All components undergo appropriate heat treatment to remove adsorbed water and crystallization water, and are sieved to ensure uniform particle size. After melting, the covering agent has low viscosity on the aluminum surface and good fluidity, quickly forming a dense protective film to prevent oxidation and absorption of the aluminum melt.
Advantages
1. Forms a dense protective layer to reduce gas entrapment.
2. Reduces metal loss caused by surface oxidation.
3. Has moderate melting point, good fluidity, and excellent coverage.
4. Low usage amount, low cost, and the resulting slag contains very low metal content.
Instructions for Use
1. After aluminum melt is completed, sprinkling the covering agent can greatly reduce aluminum melt burn loss.
2. After refining and slag removal of the molten metal, sprinkling the covering agent can reduce surface aluminum melt burn loss and prevent re-absorption of gas.
3. For large furnaces of tens of tons, use a spraying device to ensure uniform distribution of the covering agent.
4. Recommended dosage: 0.5-1.5kg per ton of aluminum.
